Class: 6 - Lesson:4 Browsing Websites, Bookmarks, App Installation and Uninstallation and Browser History

Purpose: Students should learn about Wi-Fi, web browsers, bookmarks, app installation and uninstallation and how to browse and navigate websites.

Three classes(Teacher's decision).

Materials Required

Any web browser (e.g., Google Chrome, Microsoft Edge, Brave, Opera, Safari, or Mozilla Firefox).

Prior knowledge

Students should know how to search for and download images, videos and information from the internet.

Teacher's Instruction
  1. Teachers should ensure that Students search for information that is a value-add rather than searching for unwanted information.
  2. Teachers should teach how to connect to the internet and open a browser.
  3. Teachers should teach students how to navigate between web pages using the Back and Forward buttons in the browser.
  4. Teachers should teach students how to search for and save pictures or information from the internet.
  5. Teachers should explain how to use new tabs to browse and view information separately.
  6. Teachers should teach students how to create and manage bookmarks in a web browser.
  7. POINTS TO PONDER : Open three different websites and compare their URLs. What information can you learn from them? What information can you learn about a website by looking at its URL?
